Heat your Home, not the Planet

CO2 is the main green house gas effecting climate change. Our homes cause a quarter of all CO2 emissions in the UK. Windows can account for 23% of the total heat loss (CO2) from a building.

Energy Efficient Recommended windows are one of the most effective ways to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions. By choosing Choices windows, you'll be cutting your CO2

Our windows can now meet the stringent criteria set for energy efficiency by British Fenestration Rating Council.

'A-C' rated energy efficient windows are available. By using glass coatings and warm edge containing no metal materials, windows can easily meet a 'C' on the thermal rating scale. This will cut down further heatloss, carbon omissions and save energy, giving you a thermal efficient, quieter, more comfortable home.

As standard, all our windows meet the set requirements set by Part L of Building Regulations. This compliancy is equivalent to an E rated thermal efficient windows on energy rating scale.

Energy Efficient Ratings

How do you tell if your windows are energy efficient? The British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) has introduced a window energy rating scheme very similar to that of domestic appliances. Products, that have been tested, will display the ratings grade (A-G) A being the highest, G lowest. Those with C or above will be able to use the Energy Efficiency tag.

Energy Efficient Guarantee

Windows achieving a BFRC window energy rating of C or above can be endorsed under the Energy Saving Trust's Energy Saving Recommendation scheme. This allows the use of their logo to assure customers that the window has met set criteria on energy efficiency.

Standards

Components and materials used, together with the production and fabrication of windows, doors and conservatories can meet relevant British Standards, British Board of Agrgment specifications and Building Regulations.

This ensures products are correctly manufactured using top quality materials. They are secure, will protect against weather ingress and efficiently insulate against heat loss. In addition, with only a small amount of maintenance, they continue to operate and look good for years even after exposure to the elements.
